Global Challenge Expeditions is a wineskin for God in which young leaders are discipled.  It provides a playing field for 20-somethingers to experience life changing challenges inspired in an adventurous journey.

GCEX was born out of an observation while taking a group of young South Africans on a mission trip to Bosnia.  It took us two weeks to get to our destination.  We needed to trust God and saw Him coming through while traveling.  God started to putting thoughts into my mind about a travel-based discipleship/leadership program.

In Psalm 84 it is written:  "Happy are those who set their minds on a pilgrimage…"  At its core the Global Challenge is exactly this - a journey of seeking and meeting God.

Another Scripture that is at the core of our movement is from Job.  We desire that the things that counted for God in Job’s life, will be imparted in a new generation that will once again become people of integrity, who fear God and run away from evil.  We believe in developing servant leaders.  Leaders that will be hardworking, unselfish and passionately share how being followers of Jesus Christ, impacts one’s life.

GCEX is an experiential learning tool. It facilitates real life issues and helps the participants to have a global perspective and deeper understanding of the complexities of life.  This enables you to tell your own God-stories.

Current journeys:

GCX-One Year  – Travelling around the globe teams will race against each other and together they will serve, minister, explore and discover the heart of God.

80 Days – Participants will travel as a group around the world. Visit places where God is truly working, be amazed by His creation and fellowship with other believers.

The Pilgrimage – This experiential learning program will give you more theoretical knowledge and application as you journey closer to the heart of God

Explore Africa - The mysterious continent with lost and hidden treasures, laying in front of us like an adventure waiting to happen.
