On this journey you will meet God, and great men of God. You will sit with the poor, play with children and eat local and traditional food. See mind-blowing scenery, read life-changing literature and fellowship with other followers of Jesus. The goal of this high impact journey is to seek God, to serve people and to share with fellow believers. Come be refreshed and renewed.

Where will we go and what will we do?
The countries that we will be visiting on the next 80 days trip starting 20 NOVEMBER 2010. Visit the amazing skyline of Hong Kong, work with the migrant workers in Malaysia, reach out to orphans in India, discover the rich culture of Japan, see how God provides in Hawaii, get refreshed in the USA, Swim in a volcanic lake in Guatemala, get cultivated in Spain, minister among the lost in Portugal, discover the scriptures in Egypt and Israel, ending in Jerusalem!
SAMPLE ITINERARY FOR NEXT 80 DAYS:
19 November: Leaders Meeting in Jeffrey's Bay, south Africa
20 November: 80 Days Participant training starts at Jeffrey's Bay. South Africa
24 November: Hong Kong, visit the Amazing Skyline of Hong Kong, here we will have 2 days of cultural training before going into ministry.
27 November: Kuala Lumpur Malaysia: Here we will work alongside an SA Missionary and his family. We will reach out to migrant workers from a variety of countries where persecution is a reality. We willhave fellowship with the church and encourage them, you will definitely makenew friends!
7 December: Delhi India: working with the persecuted church, teams will serve at different orphanages across India. Evangelizing, playing with the children, puppet shows as well as physical work, like painting, will be part of every day's activities.
You will be touched by the total commitment and spiritual discipline of children younger than twelve. From the richness of the Taj Mahal, to the poverty stricken slumps outside Delhi, right through you are challenged by your own way of life.
22 December: Japan Tokyo: On this stopover you will walk the amazing streets of Tokyo. Busy cafes and shopping malls on the one side and on the other you will see beautiful gardens and parks. Discover God’s heart for the Japanese people. Experience one of the richest cultures in the world.
24 December: Hawaii: Spend Christmas on the Beautiful Island of Hawaii. Walk on the most fascinating beaches in the world. Make new friends and be challenged to a God Seeking Lifestyle! Debrief the experiences you had up till then. Grow closer in your walk withGod...
1 January: Los Angeles
4 January: Guatemala: Visit Panajchel in the heart of Guatemala teams will travel through the ruins of the ancient Mayan civilisation and discover the hidden treasures of an ancient culture. 10 Days will be spent in a village surrounded by volcanoes on the banks of Lake Atlittan. Here we will help to rebuild houses, serve at orphanages and love the people.
17 January: Portugal
27 January: Egypt: Visit the pyramids and the amazing Garbage City Church. From there we will go on a pilgrimage to the most beautiful underwater scenery awaits you as you spend five nights next to the Red Sea. Visit the place the Israelites crossed into the Promised Land, climb mount Sinai and find time to reflect on the amazing journey you completed so far.
31 January: Israel Overland from Dahab by the Red Sea to the great city of Jerusalem. Teams will study the Scriptures with a local Rabbi and discover the endless richness of the Bible. Walking in the footsteps of Jesus you will be challenged by the ultimate cost. This is a week for searching, loving, thinking about and renewing your commitment to Christ.

8 February: Back in Johannesburg

Costs involved:
We have sought to respond to the economic differences of our potentialstudents through a sliding scale depending on average income levels ofthe nation you come from. We have found this to be the fairest way toaddress economic differences.
We base our charges for GCEX Journeys on our budgeted expenses and by taking into consideration the national average Per Capita Income (PCI) of 208 countries.
These countries are assigned to one of three categories based on the PCI. They are:
Category A – Countries or territories with a PCI between US $0 – $4,000.
Category B – Countries or territories with a PCI between US $4,000 - $10,000
Category C – Countries or territories with a PCI of more than US $10,000

The sliding cost scale for 80 Days* is as follows:
Category A country of income– R 36520.00 (Kenia, Lesotho)
Category B country of income – R 55 000.00 (ZAR, Brazil)
Category C country of income - R 67144.00 (USA, UK, NZ)

These costs include all expenses for your entire journey: travel,flight tickets, food, lodging, ministry expenses and all other plannedactivities. It does not include travel to and from the start and end ofthe journey, visas, insurance, communications, entry into unplannedsights, spending money, etc.
Global Challenge Expeditions encourages a lifestyle of simplicity andparticipants will have to be willing to in every situation choose thecheapest way of transport, accommodation, etc.

Please allow three to four weeks for one of our staff to contact you. They will then guide you through the rest of the application process. Once you have been accepted into the selection process you will have to fill in a longer Second Application and also pay a non-refundable admin-fee of $20 or R200.
Successful candidates will receive an Official Members Guide with all the information needed to prepare you for an awesome adventure around the world.
