Work Your Way - Backpack Journey for Men

“Adventure, with all its requisite danger and wildness, is a deeply spiritual longing written into the soul of man.”  John Eldredge

Are you a man with a heart for the nations?  A man with a heart to serve a world in need?  Are you ready to rough it?

Ready to travel by faith?  Ready to go all out?

Then the Work Your Way journey is just for you!

As the name suggests, this journey is about working.  It is about working the way Jesus did and working the way Jesus would.

Work Your Way is a GCEX initiative that provides young men and their friends the break to travel and experience different cultures but with the added benefit of working to cover some of your travelling expenses.

The Journey is filled with adventure, fun and excitement.  A passion to serve transcends the entire year.  With opportunities to labour for Christ in spirit, word and deed, we will serve the church that Jesus is building across the earth.

Come and make 2017 the most memorable year of life.
Come and be a mighty man for God’s Kingdom!
Come with us and Work Your Way!

Working on a Christian adventure school has never been so much fun. Time will be spent building, farming and getting involved in everyday life, of living in community with fellow believers. Catch the excitement for the build up to the rugby world cup.  Spend time with the NZ youth.  Teach, bless and encourage them with testimonies and the Word of God.

Egypt and Israel (3 October – 3 November)

Head for the Middle East and experience life in the desert, follow the path of the exodus and see the Promised Land.  Experience Christianity in its most original form, see the Holy sites and become aware of the ME conflicts.

Costs involved:
We have sought to respond to the economic differences of our potential students through a sliding scale depending on average income levels of the nation you come from. We have found this to be the fairest way to address economic differences.
We base our charges for GCEX Journeys on our budgeted expenses and by taking into consideration the national average Per Capita Income (PCI) of 208 countries.

These countries are assigned to one of three categories based on the PCI. They are:
Category A – Countries or territories with a PCI between US $0 - $10,000.
Category B – Countries or territories with a PCI of more than US $10,000
For a complete list of countries and the category they are assigned to, please contact our office.

The sliding cost scale for participation in Work Your Way 2017 will be as follows:
Category A country of income - R 69 000.00 (ZAR, Brazil, etc.)
Category C country of income - R 88 000.00 (USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, etc.)
